Grant Writer

Pay: $32-$34 Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Writing & Application:

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals and applications that align with organizational goals and funder priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines and reporting requirements.

Grant Management:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with grant requirements and guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, financial reports, and other required documentation.
  • Collaborate with program staff to collect data and evaluate program outcomes for reporting purposes.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential funders.
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up communications with funders to strengthen partnerships and support future funding opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events as needed.

Research & Analysis:

  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant funding and nonprofit management.
  • Prepare internal reports on grant funding status, opportunities, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in grant writing and grant management, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong understanding of grant-making processes and funding sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, persuasive, and accurate proposals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
