Leading Freight Forwarding and Transportation company in Torrance, CA is seeking a talented International Air Import/Export Operations Specialist to join their team.
The Air Operations Coordinator facilitates the shipment of cargo via air transport. The Air Import/Export Coordinator is responsible for providing excellent customer service as well as tracking, tracing, routing, and quoting assistance for Air Import shipments. This includes processes from booking through invoicing (A to Z).
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Tracking, tracing, and routing of air import shipments
- Providing excellent customer service via phone and e-mail in busy working environment
- Data entry into Company operating system
- Filing in AES
- Invoice Processing
- Will actively support team and work with customers and airlines to book and trace shipments, resolve shipment issues and manage pick-ups and deliveries.
- Must be familiar with air freight logistics and distribution procedures and documentation requirements. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to efficiently multi-task and has great attention to detail.
- Great customer service skills and a positive attitude are a must.
- Build relationships with all customers, other offices, overseas agents and service providers
Education and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check
- Minimum of 2 years International air import experience
- 3 years of customer service experience
